Change of lineup in 2016 for the band Rhapsody Of Fire. On vocals, we now find Giacomo Voli, 33, 2014 candidate for The Voice Italy. He’s singer of another band, Teodosia, which released an album in 2015: Metamorphosis. We also note the arrival of a new drummer: Manu Lotter.
When Fabio Lione announced his desire to leave the band in September 2015, the fans, and I were shocked, but Fabio has other projects with his other band: Angra.
The vocal change announces a total change of scenery. The first clips released: Rain of fury, Master of peace surprised me. I had a little trouble at first with the voice of Giacomo, which disturbed me, because used to Fabio Lione. But we discover a sumptuous and powerful voice, which leaves me dreamy.
The album has 12 tracks, which captivate at first listen. I specially love the title « White Wizard« . A soft atmosphere that relaxes with the voice of Giacomo, angelic at times. Goosebumps assured. I would not have thought of loving so much, as I’m a fan of Fabio Lione. The surprise is masterful.
We find the magic of the first albums of the group. A pure moment of pleasure. The musicians who accompany Giacomo are very good.
I am now waiting to see Giacomo Voli live, because it’s always different from an album. But the succession is assured. Despite everything, for me, Fabio Lione will remain the singer and the voice of the group. 🙂

Changement de lineup en 2016 pour le groupe Rhapsody Of Fire. Au chant, nous retrouvons désormais Giacomo Voli, 33 ans, candidat 2014 à The Voice Italy. Il officie également au sein du groupe Teodosia, qui a sorti un album en 2015 : Metamorphosis. A noter également l’arrivée d’un nouveau batteur : Manu Lotter.
Quand Fabio Lione a annoncé son désir de quitter le groupe en septembre 2015, les fans, et moi-même étions sous le choc, mais Fabio a d’autres projets avec son autre groupe : Angra.
Le changement vocal annonce un dépaysement total. Les premiers clips sortis : » Rain of fury , Master of peace » m’ont surprise. J’ai eu un peu de mal au début avec la voix de Giacomo, qui me perturbait, car habituée à Fabio Lione. Mais on découvre une voix somptueuse et puissante, qui me laisse rêveuse.
L’album comporte 12 titres, qui envoûtent à la première écoute. J’adore le titre « White Wizard« . Une atmosphère douce qui détend avec la voix de Giacomo, angélique par moment. Frissons assurés. Je n’aurai pas pensé aimer autant, moi qui suis fan de Fabio Lione. La surprise est magistrale.
On retrouve la magie des premiers albums du groupe. Un pur moment de plaisir. Les musiciens qui accompagnent Giacomo sont très bons.
J’attends maintenant de voir Giacomo Voli en live, car c’est toujours différent d’un album. Mais la relève est assurée. Malgré tout, pour moi, Fabio Lione Restera le chanteur et la voix du groupe. 🙂
Un très bel album à écouter absolument. Une nouvelle air pour le groupe.
