RHAPSODY + SCARLET AURA + BEAST IN BLACK @ TRABENDO / PARIS – 16/03/2018

This Friday, March 16th a very good program awaits us at the Trabendo with the RHAPSODY concert for the 20th ANNIVERSARY FAREWELL TOUR.

The concert begins at 19:30, the fans have already entered, they have been present for the fantastic duo of Fabio LIONE and Luca TURILLI, at the head of the group.

The concert begins with SCARLET AURA, a group that I didn’t know but that will be interesting to see and listen to.

The charming singer Aura DANCIULESCU sets the tone with her voice and sexy gothic style: the music is pop-metal style. It’s well executed, the melodies are easy to sing and quite popular. A tribute to Dolores O’RIORDAN with the title Zombie sung in their own way, for the public’s delight. A very good introduction with this first group of the evening.

The second band takes now place, it is called BEAST IN BLACK. Another discovery that seduced me all along the show, as many fans which came especially for this group. We even met a fan who had brought a doll with the effigy of the group, strange enough but nice …

The music is aggressive power metal pulling towards classic metal that takes you far in a universe of sword and dragon, the theme of the evening. The first title of the concert is none other than Beast in Black whose rhythm moves the audience on the excellent riffs of the duo Kasperi & Molnar. Molnar is a player, smiling and being happy throughout the show, always ready to be in front of the camera. A personality certainly pleasant to live.

Yannis, the singer of the group,  reminds me of Georg NEUHAUSER of SERENITY group, same style of high voice and a strong charisma on stage. It was very difficult to take pictures as he was fidgeting like a little mouse

One song surprised me: Crazy, Mad, Insane, which sounds pretty disco. The guitarists and the bass player arrived with black glasses on which was inscribed the title of the song.

After this excellent setlist very well executed, it is time to welcome RHAPSODY. Long awaited by the historic fans who filled the room, the group is the most important in Italian symphonic power metal,  and has marked the history of metal for over 20 years already.

The stage is ready, the opening music begins and the fans are unleashed; the group finally arrives and the madness seizes the public!

The songs all along the show are majestically sung by Fabio LIONE, a faultless one. The instrumental part – performed by Luca T (who moves everywhere), Patrice G, Dominique L without forgetting Alex – shows a symbiosis at the top.

During the show Fabio and Luca return to the group’s story. Comes a tribute to actor Christopher LEE with the title The Magic of the Wizard’s Dream, the girl with the doll was in tears. Another great moment: Fabio sings us a song of Andrea BOCELLI  » Con Te Partiro « , the public is speechless while listening to the voice of Fabio resonating throughout the room.

Titles are played one after another, from the oldest to the new, and fans sing in choir throughout the concert, with songs like Wisdom of the Kings or Land of Immortals.

The musicians didn’t forget to demonstrate their talent: we had the chance to have a bass solo form Patrice GUERS (tapping and slap galore) and drums solo from Alex HOLZWARTH.

In the middle of the concert Fabio brings up on stage one of his long time fan, Jérémy. Jérémy made his marriage proposal to the beautiful Fanny who goes also on stage : thunder of applauses and a passionate kiss!

Fabio is now approaching the audience and singing vocalises with them in a quiz game. He passes the microphone to a young lady to make her sing, not obvious under the emotion … The concert is already a monumental success; after the presentation of the whole band the last songs are played and the end of the concert is announced. Luca took the opportunity to expose to the public the passion  that invades in his relationship with his girlfriend Nadia, much applauded by the public.

The group thanks all the present fans, while the fans thank all the members of the band: Fabio who is nothing else than the star of the evening, Luca who is the main composer and the soul of the group. Then a deserved ovation for the two French of the group that are Dominique and Patrice.

A birthday very well celebrated with family!

The evening ends, the room empties slowly and the fans leave with a smile, delighted to have spent a very beautiful evening at the Trabendo with RHAPSODY.

Ce vendredi 16 mars un très bon programme nous attend au Trabendo avec le concert de RHAPSODY pour le 20TH ANNIVERSARY FAREWELL TOUR.

Le concert débute à 19h30, les fans sont déjà entrés, ils ont répondu présent pour le duo fantastique Fabio LIONE et Luca TURILLI à la tête du groupe.

Le concert débute avec SCARLET AURA, un groupe que je ne connaissais pas mais qui s’annonce intéressant à voir et écouter.

La charmante chanteuse Aura DANCIULESCU donne le ton avec sa voix et son style sexy gothique : la musique est de style pop metal. C’est bien exécuté, les mélodies sont faciles à chanter et assez populaires ; un hommage et rendu à Dolores O’RIORDAN avec le titre  » Zombie «  chanté à leur manière, pour le plus grand plaisir du public. Une très bonne entrée en matière pour ce premier groupe de la soirée.

SETLIST:

Le son est du power metal agressif tirant vers du metal classique qui vous emporte loin dans un univers d’épée et de dragon, le thème de la soirée. Le premier titre du concert n’est autre que Beast in Black dont le rythme fait bouger le public sur les riffs excellents du duo Kasperi & Molnar. Ce dernier est joueur, souriant et joyeux pendant tout le show, toujours prêt à se montrer devant l’objectif, une personnalité certainement agréable a vivre.

Yannis le chanteur du groupe me fait penser a Georg NEUHAUSER du groupe SERENITY, même style de voix aiguë et un fort charisme sur scène. Il fut très difficile à prendre en photo tant il gigotait comme une petite souris !

Une chanson m’a surprise :  » Crazy, Mad, Insane  » sonne assez disco, les guitaristes et le bassiste sont arrivés avec des lunettes noires sur lesquelles était inscrit le titre de la chanson.

Après cette excellente set liste très bien exécutée, il est temps d’accueillir RHAPSODY. Très attendu par les fans historiques qui ont rempli la salle, le groupe est le plus important du power metal symphonique italien et a marqué l’histoire du metal depuis plus de 20 ans déjà.

La scène est prête, la musique d’ouverture commence et les fans sont déchaînés ; le groupe arrive enfin et la folie s’empare du public !

Les chansons tout le long du show sont majestueusement chantées par Fabio LIONE, un sans-faute. La partie instrumentale – exécutée par Luca T (qui bouge partout), Patrice G, Dominique L sans oublier Alex – montre une symbiose au top.

Pendant le show Fabio ainsi que Luca reviennent sur l’histoire du groupe. Vient un hommage à l’acteur Christopher LEE avec le titre  » The Magic of the Wizard’s Dream « , la demoiselle à la poupée était en larme. Un autre grand moment : Fabio nous chante une chanson d’Andrea BOCELLI  » Con Te Partiro « , le public reste bouche bée en écoutant la voix de Fabio résonner dans toute la salle.

Les titres s’enchaînent du plus ancien aux nouveaux et les fans chantent en cœur pendant tous le concert, avec des chansons comme « Wisdom of the Kings «  ou  »  Land of Immortals ». Les musiciens n’étaient pas en reste pour démontrer leur talent brut : on a eu la chance d’avoir un solo de basse de Patrice GUERS (tapping et slaps à gogo) et de batterie d’Alex HOLZWARTH.

En plein milieu du concert Fabio fait monter sur scène un des premiers fans, Jérémy, celui-ci fait sa demande en mariage à la ravissante Fanny qui monte sur scène à son tour : tonnerre d’applaudissements et baisé enflammé !

Fabio s’approche maintenant du public et chante des vocalises avec eux dans un jeu de questions-réponses, il passe le micro pour faire chanter une demoiselle, pas évident sous l’émotion… Le concert est d’ores et déjà une réussite monumentale ; après la présentation du groupe au complet les dernières chansons s’exécutent et la fin du concert s’annonce. Luca en profite pour exposer au public la flamme qui l’envahit dans sa relation avec sa compagne Nadia, fort applaudie par le public.

Le groupe remercie tous les fans présents, les fans inversement remercient tous les membres du groupe : Fabio qui n’est qu’autre la star de la soirée, Luca qui est le compositeur principal et l’âme du groupe, puis une ovation méritée pour les deux français du groupe que sont Dominique et Patrice. Un anniversaire très bien fêté en famille !

La soirée se finit, la salle se vide doucement et les fans s’en vont avec le sourire, ravis d’avoir passé une très belle soirée au Trabendo avec RHAPSODY.
