The Canadian hard-rockin’ juggernaut Monster Truck, are ready to return to Europe in May and June as main support across a host of legendary arenas for DEEP PURPLE.
Talking about the tour, Monster Truck lead singer and bassist Jon Harvey says « Two words, ‘HOLY SHIT’! It’s an incredible opportunity to support one of the greatest and most influential bands in rock history. A huge inspiration to us and millions of heavy fans and players. Feelin’ real lucky. » Guitarist Jeremy Widerman adds: « When we found out about this opportunity it felt like the perfect fit for us. We designed the roots of Monster Truck’s entire sound solely around Purple. To be included in their European tour is an honour beyond measure. We are truly humbled. »
The tour follows the release of their new album Sittin’ Heavy which has received rave reviews; being hailed as « fresh and exciting » by Metal Hammer, how they « set the bar to unprecedented heights » by Rock Sound, proclaiming the new record is « relentless and unstoppable » according to Guitarist and a « hard rocking masterpiece » by Big Cheese. As well as guitar legend Slash backing their corner, Dee Snider can’t get enough of them saying « Holy Fuck, this band rocks » whilst Dave Navarro declared they are ‘Killer band, great guitar playing. »
In true road warrior style they have learnt their chops on tour and have been relentlessly tearing through shows and have already opened for the mighty; Gun’s n Roses, Slash, Alice in Chains, ZZ Top, Buckcherry, Rival Sons, Nickelback, Billy Talent, Rob Zombie, Janes Addiction, Volbeat, Black Stone Cherry and Vista Chino over the last 3 years.
In the live arena is where Monster Truck thrive and with touring arenas across the world in the last 6 months they are ready to bring the show to the next level for the mighty Deep Purple.
