We were this Thursday, November 3rd at the Petit Bain, a concert room located into a barge, which offers a bunch of shows.
Around 6 PM, I made the interview of two members from the band Amaranthe, then we still wait for the beginning of the show. The room is small and is quickly filled. The most difficult was to make my way through the crowd.
Amaranthe was there to present their new opus : Maximalist, which was a best seller since its release. The band was supported by Sonic Syndicate and Smash Into Pieces. Very different style with a Pop-Metal music, which did not leave the audience cold.
The band which started the show was Smash Into Pieces, a Swedish band which surprised us with their first song : Stronger. The audience was immediately conquished. For a fist part we can say it was successful. During the show we saw the band’s drummer coming on stage, wearing black clothes, a cloak and a mask with LED lights, amazing !
Chris Adam, the singer, and friend from Amaranthe, seduced the ladies with his voice and beautiful tunes.
All the time of their show, the band delivered his energy without any weakness.

It’s time now to welcome Sonic Syndicate, another Swedish band, as the two other ones. What a happiness for the Parisian audience.
Their show begins with the song : The boys are back (Dropkick Murphys Song), which set the tone, and will be followed by ‘Confessions’. Each song is a source of energy for the crowd.
The most intense moments in the pit will be on ‘Burn This City’ and ‘Turn It Up’ which will give the final blow for the end of the show. Fortunaly the barge is resistant, considering the movements of the audience. The band was also very reactive with the crowd, a happiness to see.

A pause is very welcome after such an energy expense… but it’s now time to see on stage, the most awaited band of the evening : Amaranthe. Our last Swedish band presents their last album : Maximalim, recently released, with a Pop / Metal tone.
The crowd is very impatient to see Elize Ryd, the female voice of the band, coming on stage. As always, she comes very beautiful.
The main question was about the setlist : which one, with four albums to compose it ?
Everybody has its own opinion about Amaranthe’s musical style, but everyone can note that the professionalism of the band is really here.
During the show, we note the absence of Jack, Amaranthe’s singer which was replaced by Chris Adams from Smash Into Pieces, and accompanied by Henrik’s growl and the magic voice of Elize Ryd. A true pleasure for all the fans being there this evenng.
Olof with his guitar perfectly tuned,, and not forgetting the power play of Morten at the drums, all band members were in harmony during the show.
Songs are following one another : ‘Hunger’, ‘ The Nexus’, ‘Amaranthine’ and many other which are true hits, always appreciated.
Fans were overexcited all the show, taking their phones to shoot Elize, Henrik or Olof. For the photographers, it was a bit annoying to shoot the show.
Even so, Amarathe delivered an amazing show, a perfect performance, which delighted the audience, and I. Wonderful moment, you have really to see Amaranthe on stage at least once in your life.

The show comes to its end, and the room empties slowly. The audience has stars in his eyes and a smile. We can note it was captivated.
Ce jeudi 3 novembre 2016 au bord de la Seine à Paris, nous rejoignions la salle du Petit Bain, une péniche, à bord de laquelle beaucoup de concerts sont à l’affiche.
Vers 18h, j’interviewe deux membres du groupe Amaranthe, puis nous attendrons ensuite sagement le début du show, la salle étant petite et rapidement remplie. Le plus difficile était de se faire un chemin au milieu du public.
Amaranthe est ici pour nous présenter leur nouvel opus : Maximalism, qui a été un raz de marée dès sa sortie. Le groupe était accompagné des groupes : Sonic Syndicates et Smash Into The Pieces, des styles bien différents avec un coté Pop / Metal qui n’a pas laissé le public de marbre.
Le 1er groupe qui démarre le show n’est autre que Smash Into The Pieces , un groupe suédois qui nous surprend dès le premier titre « stronger », le public est immédiatement conquis. Pour une première partie, on peut dire que c’est réussi. Pendant le show, nous voyons arriver le batteur du groupe vêtu de noir, d’une cape et d’un masque avec des leds, c’est énorme !
Chris Adam, le chanteur et ami du groupe Amaranthe séduit les demoiselles du public (rire) avec son teint de voix et de belles mélodies.
Tout au long du show, le groupe nous délivre son énergie sans aucune faiblesse.

Il est temps d’accueillir SONIC SYNDICATE, qui arrive également de Suède, à l’instar des 2 autres groupes de la soirée. Que du bonheur pour le public parisien.
Leur show débute avec le titre : The Boys Are Back (Dropkick Murphys song), qui donne le ton et sera suivie par « Confessions ». Chaque titre qui passe est une source d’énergie pour le public.
Les moments les plus intenses dans la fosse seront sur les titres : « Burn This City » et « Turn It Up », qui donneront le coup de grâce pour cette fin de concert. Heureusement que la péniche est très solide, vu les mouvements du public ! Le groupe était également très réactif envers le public, ça fait plaisir à voir.

Une pause bien méritée s’impose après autant d’énergie dépensée… mais il est maintenant temps de recevoir sur scène le groupe le plus attendu de la soirée. Amaranthe, notre dernier groupe suédois du soir, vient présenter leur dernier album : Maximalism, sorti depuis peu de temps, avec un son pop/metal.
Le public qui est en délire est impatient de voir arriver Elize Ryd, la chanteuse du groupe, qui nous arrive en beauté comme à chaque fois.
On s’est demandé quel titre il allait y avoir sur la set list de ce soir, qui n’a pas dû être facile à composer avec 4 albums à leur actif.
Le style du groupe Amaranthe c’est au choix de chacun, mais l’on peut constater que le professionnalisme du groupe est bien là .
Pendant le show nous avons pu constater l’absence de Jack, le chanteur d’Amaranthe remplacé par Chris Adams de ‘Smash Into The Pieces’, accompagné du growl d’Henrik la voix magique d’ELize Eyd, un vrai plaisir pour les fans présents ce soir.
Olof à la guitare parfaitement ajustée pour le show, sans oublier la puissance de Morten à la batterie, l’ensemble des membres était en harmonie pendant tout le concert.
Les titres s’enchaînent tels que : « Hunger », « The Nexus », « Amaranthine » et bien d’autres qui sont de vrais tubes qui marchent toujours autant.
Les fans étaient surexcités pendant tout le show, sortaient leurs téléphones pour faire des photos d’Elize, d’Henrik ou Olof.
Pour les photographes, situés derrière les fans, c’était un poil dérangeant pour shooter le concert.
Malgré tout, Amaranthe a délivré un show de tous les diables, une parfaite prestation qui a ravi le public et moi-même.
Magnifique moment, il faut vraiment venir découvrir Amaranthe au moins une fois dans votre vie.
Le concert se termine et la salle se vide doucement, le public a des étoiles dans les yeux et le sourire au lèvre. On peut constater que le public a été conquis.
